All OEA PSU staff hired prior to September 1, 2000, all OASU staff retired prior to September 1, 2006, and all managers that were part of the managers' settlement, are a part of the VEBA class.  If you are pre-65 and already retired, OEA will provide your post retirement coverage.  There are some exceptions if you are on SSDI.  If you are still on staff and part of the affected class you will receive your contracted benefit unless you leave OEA employment prior to full retirement in which case you will not be eligible to receive post retirement health care from OEA or SEARV.

  Keep in mind if you are on staff and plan on working past age 65 you must be enrolled in Medicare upon your retirement to receive health care benefits.  Please refer to the “Turning 65” page of this website.
